Faux Turquoise is hot!

Jeeze. Ya think you're the only one doing something..... and then you find out that one of your good friends has been doing the same thing.  My buddy Lynda Moseley of Diva Designs, who is an amazing polymer artist, and produces FANTASTIC tutorials...will be doing a new one on faux turq right after she releases her tutorial on faux ivory and faux bone.  Sheesh. It's bound to be wonderful!

And then you see one of the original polymer genies (genii?), Syndee Holt, on Beads, Baubles and Jewels.  Hers is a new take on the tried and true method of making faux turq - makes it a LOT easier and cleaner!

There is one tip in this video that will be invaluable to me in the future - guess what it is and win a prize!

Yup - first watch Syndee's video, then leave me a comment with your guess as to what tip of hers I will be using in the future, and win this leaf pendant that's in the gallery of my new tutorial!

New tutorial, you say? Oh, yes, of course! "New Ways with Faux Turquoise" is now available in my Etsy shop for a reduced price AND it comes with a bonus!
I had a lot of fun creating this. It's my biggest and best yet. And I'm so happy that it's finally complete! ...especially since faux turq seems to be the thing of the day...so to speak.

I think I'm going to use three dots...in every...sentence...from now on.

I emailed you but you must not have gotten it - you won the leaf pendant in the blog entry! Just use the "email me" link on the left side to send me an email with your address, and I'll get it right out to you!

The channel was my favorite tip, too, but I also never thought about using black ink instead of black clay.

Yeah, inks are so much easier than using paint, right?
